Who is this blog for?

For you, if you have ever asked yourself  questions like these:

1) How do I know what I know?

2) What is knowledge?

3) How do I construct my knowledge?

4) What affects my knowledge?

5) What tools do I need to arrive at an informed view about any subject of interest?

Yes, the overall aim is to help you answer this question: How can I decide what is right to believe when confronted with so many belief systems and views about morality, politics, the environment, marriage, family etc from social media as well as the traditional media like newspapers, radio and television?”

How do you choose which (if any) out of peer pressure, media reports, or received wisdom is correct (or not)?

This blog is also for people who have not studied philosophy or a formal critical thinking course or who, having heard about critical thinking courses like TOK, have thought, “I wish I had studied a critical thinking course at some point!” Some may wish to avoid being “tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching…”

However, this introduction will allow you to eavesdrop on conversations which will discuss answers to some of these questions. This blog will provide tools to help YOU find answers for yourself and thereby learn to think even more critically.

  • Yesterday, while I was at work, my cousin stole
my iPad and tested to see if it can survive a forty
foot drop, just so she can be a youtube sensation. My
iPad is now broken and she has 83 views. I know this is completely off topic but I had to share it with someone!
